Common Features

  • Smart extruded aluminium enclosure with prominent KATAS logo.
  • Wide input range, fully isolated dc power supply for correct and proper marine use.
  • Proprietary two-way circular connector for input power supply.
  • Proprietary circular connector for input/output and GPS power.
  • Rear-mounted fully isolating on/off switch.
  • Rear-panel fuse.
  • Front-mounted red and green LEDs for indication of signal decoding status.
  • SO-259 type aerial socket.
  • Rear-panel earth terminal.
  • Can be used with ShipPlotter PC charting software or choose from several other commercial packages.


Supplied With

  • Rubber feet for free standing use.
  • Brackets for upper or lower shelf or deckhead mounting.
  • Serial port lead for computer and GPS receiver.
  • Power supply lead, bare one end.
  • No aerial supplied. A recommended marine aerial is Comrod type AV-7 available from distributors worldwide.
  • Comprehensive printed user instruction manual.
  • 12 month return to base warranty except where damage caused by lightning strike has occurred.

  • BNC socket to PL-259 aerial adapter for where aerial cable has BNC plug.
  • N-type socket to PL-259 aerial adapter for where aerial cable has N-type plug.
